In a statement released by House Republican Leadership, Speaker Johnson, Leader Scalise, Whip Emmer, and Chairwoman Stefanik expressed their concerns regarding the Special Counsel report on President Biden. The statement highlighted the finding that President Biden "willfully retained and disclosed classified materials" and engaged in practices that "present serious risks to national security."

The Republican leaders described this finding as deeply disturbing, emphasizing that it demonstrates the President's recklessness. They also raised the issue of a perceived two-tiered system of justice, where one President is being indicted with politically motivated charges while another is seemingly being given preferential treatment despite similar allegations.

The statement further pointed out a particularly troubling aspect of the report, which was the Special Counsel's justification for not recommending charges against President Biden. The Special Counsel cited the President's "significant limitations" in memory as a reason for not being able to convince a jury of his "mental state of willfulness" required for a serious felony.

In light of these findings, the Republican leaders concluded that a man who is deemed incapable of being held accountable for mishandling classified information is certainly unfit for the Oval Office.

The statement from House Republican Leadership reflects their concerns regarding the Special Counsel report on President Biden's handling of classified materials. It raises questions about the President's recklessness and the perceived two-tiered system of justice. The Republican leaders argue that the President's memory limitations and inability to meet the mental state required for a serious felony further demonstrate his unfitness for the Oval Office.
