WASHINGTON, D.C.— House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) expressed his concerns about President Biden's leadership, stating that the President is "living in a parallel universe." Scalise made these remarks during an interview on Fox Business Network’s Mornings with Maria Bartiromo.

Scalise highlighted the challenges faced by House Republicans due to their slim majority, emphasizing the need for new leadership in the White House. He mentioned the recent resignation of Mike Gallagher, which further narrowed their majority to just one seat. Despite this, Scalise commended the House for passing significant legislation, including a strong border security package, with a narrow majority.

Regarding the upcoming special elections for Kevin McCarthy’s seat in California, Scalise expressed confidence in securing a Republican win, which would slightly increase their majority. He underscored the importance of maintaining a majority in the House to prevent the advancement of President Biden's agenda, which he described as "far-left."

Scalise criticized Biden for his divisive State of the Union address and his handling of issues such as the economy and border security. He accused Biden of allowing illegal immigration to continue unchecked, leading to security concerns. Scalise also condemned the politicization of the justice system against political opponents, calling it unacceptable.

In response to the issue of squatters, Scalise supported recent actions taken by states like Florida to address the problem. He attributed the rise of squatters to Biden's open border policies and lack of respect for the rule of law, emphasizing the need to protect the rights of hard-working Americans.

Scalise concluded by reiterating his belief that President Trump should return to the White House to address the country's challenges
